Coven Diaries chapter I

The peaceful aroma of sage and frankincense alluded the room while the fragrant smoke danced and spiraled into the air. Valeria just finished charging her crystals from the full moon Last night and placed them back into the display case.

It’s been officially six months since she moved into her cozy apartment in Myshuno Height. while her traditional parents were wary of her leaving home but they knew she was very much grown to do as she please.

“ Just remember that you are always welcome back whenever.” her mother words played back in her head. Valeria finished tidying up her space then blew out the remaining candles before leaving for work at the Herbal tea café. On the way out her neighbor Kai was just leaving as well. “Afternoon Val,” he greeted.

She smiled, kai became a new friend since move in . She then looked down and gave a pat to the friendly Husky . “hey there, taking Yuna for a walk i see,”

“yeah, she’s full of energy today,” kai said, “may stop by for some tea later too” he smirked.

Valeria smiled and shook her head “well you know where to find the best spot in town for that.” She started making her way on “ ill be seeing you!”

Kai waved his arm out to get her attention with slight hesitation “ Q-Quick question!” He blurted out

she turned her head , her enchanting eyes meeting his deep brown eyes putting him at freeze . Suddenly embarrassed to continue. “I…. I’ve been meaning to ask if you wanted to check out this metaphysical bookstore i came across. i know you practice that sort of thing and figured you would like it.” Kai explained. His heart was pounding from nerves. He’s found many women attractive but something about Valeria's energy and vibe always left him in awe.

Sensing his nervousness Valeria gave him an assuring smile and nodded. “I’d love that, we can talk about it more at the tea shop ok.”

He blinked in surprise “yeah of course, see you later!” He stared in awe as he watched her continue her way Then looked down and smiled at Yuna. “Hear that girl! We get to hang out with the pretty neighbor!” Yuna jumped and gave a bark in excitement . “Alright lets get to the dog park!”

It was near the end of Rush hour and Valeria just finished ringing the last customer. Samira the shop owner sighed with relief , “great job out there as usual Valeria,” she said, “ go ahead and go on break I’ll clean the rest up here,”

“Thank you!” Valeria went out to the front deck area where her best friend Raven was sitting with her laptop. “I swear that thing is glued to your fingertips,”

Raven grinned, “I gotta get gud val!” She explained while clicking away on an MMORPG game.

Raven and Valeria been close since teens, Raven was 1st move out to Myshuno Heights so it was only natural for the close friends to reconnect again.

Valeria carfully looked at the screen, raven’s character along with many others were raiding a boss in a dungeon of some sort. While not knowing much about video games it definitely kept her attention. “How’s the stream life treating you?” “Honestly its been pretty lit,” Raven pulled her headphones back to stretch “ just waiting for that one random user to gift me a million dollars,”

Valeria laughed then looked at her friend once realizing she was serious . “People really do that?”

“Oh yeah! You’d be surprised! Its the internet after all,”

“Well.. you’ve gathered a nice following so I believe it’ll happen soon!”
